Designing an Elegant Florist website

Everyday Flowers

Florist

E-commerce

Beloved local florist, Everyday Flowers, had been serving its community for five years with beautiful, hand-crafted arrangements. But their website hadn’t kept pace with the quality of their products (and their customer's expectations). It was immediately clear that the digital experience needed a makeover — it wasn’t doing justice to the visual appeal that is essential in the florist industry.

Florists are style consultants

The business of flowers is incredibly visual. People buy because it looks pretty. They buy because it makes them look pretty in their most cherished moments – weddings, graduations, celebrations.

Florists are integral to our most important, picture-perfect moments. To succeed, a florist must exhibit a level of mastery in style. Content. Design. Customer service.

The website must reflect visual expertise as well. Typical customers will have a million tabs open trying to find “the perfect one”. They’re making comparisons. They’re trying their best to visualize their special day. They experience a lot of anxiety before converting.

Designed with elegance

Website design with a clean, minimalist style that reflects the elegance and simplicity customers need from this process.

Flowers are absolutely colorful and vibrant things, so the website uses neutral tones to let the products take centerstage.

Gentle curves and "soft" design elements to create a soothing and inviting experience.

Customers are window shopping, so we used streamlined navigation and narrow widths to simplify their 'browsing' journey.

They're afraid of high bounce rates.
